The app's design, navigation, and photo posting procedures have been revamped, incorporating user feedback. The addition of automatic thumbnail filter previews is probably the most obvious update to the app, and it's one of those "heh, it makes perfect sense, I wonder why it didn't do that before" features -- basically, after you snap a photo, PicPlz for iPhone will instantly let you see how the photo would appear in each of the ten filters the app supports. This allows you to choose the perfect filter for a particular photo much faster and easier than before.
The new navigation structure allows for fast switching between browsing mode and the photo posting screen, the camera now supports 'tap to focus' so you can focus on whatever you wish (and tap), and new users can now test the app without needing an account first.
Overall, the app is much faster, and gone is the sluggishness it sometimes showed when applying filters or loading photos from friends. According to its CEO, Dalton Caldwell, PicPlz is almost at 200,000 users and it's experiencing steady growth. An update for the company's Android app will follow soon.
