Ashton Kutcher's holiday reading speaks volumes

Ashton Kutcher's beach reading includes a book about defeating the effects of ageing. Does he have a personal interest in the matter?

There are many in Hollywood who have long worshipped at the Church of Gerontology, but, if Ashton Kutcher's holiday reading is anything to go by, the study of ageing is set to see a new lease of life. Kutcher, the 33-year-old actor who is to married to 48-year-old Demi Moore, was photographed reading The Youth Pill: Scientists at the Brink of an Anti-Aging Revolution on a beach in St Barts in the Caribbean. The book details the race by scientists to isolate the suspected human "gerontogene" ? the gene causing us to age that one day could be "switched off" with drugs. Whether this is fodder for Kutcher's next movie or simply personal interest remains to be seen.
